America Under the Siege of Tyranny

December 24th, 2009 · No Comments

Here is how the compliant New York Times delivered Thursday’s news on the Senate’s criminal health reform vote. How this is journalism is beyond me.

By ROBERT PEAR
The New York Times

WASHINGTON, Dec. 24 — The Senate voted Thursday to reinvent the nation’s health care system, passing a bill to guarantee health insurance for all Americans and rein in health costs as proposed by President Obama.

THREE GLARING LIES IN ONE SENTENCE …

1. The bill does NOT “reinvent” care but destroys private insurance.

2. The bill does NOT “guarantee” insurance for all. By 2014, 34 million Americans will not have health insurance. Just four years from now. (CBO)

3. The bill does NOT “rein in” costs. Individual costs will skyrocket; the bill WILL require $2.5 TRILLION on care entitlement spending through 2019.

The U.S. Senate’s radical liberal Democrats have, just in time for Christmas, betrayed America, trampled the Constitution and dishonored the Founding Fathers.

WE WILL NEVER FORGET.

Socialist Terror

December 21st, 2009 · No Comments

Even more scary than the projected $2.5 trillion cost of nationalized health management (it certainly is not about health care) in the coming decade is the presumption of myriad under-the-radar assurances from the Obama camp to Senate lawmakers who are risking everything to pass the worst bill in American history.

We know what they’ve been promised on the table. We know Sens. Dodd, Landrieu and Nelson et al were granted massive windfalls that they presumably will convert into political capital and re-election votes in the future. But some of these Democrats (and Joe Lieberman) are so lockstep, so addicted to the Obama Socialism Kool-Aid and so willing to commit apparent career suicide to hijack the U.S. economy, one can only wonder what else they’ve been promised by Chief Thug Rahm Emanuel.

They’re acting like the young men who make the ultimate sacrifice in a public square or behind the controls of a fuel-laden jetliner in return for the promise of an eternity spent in the company of compliant virgins. It is mind boggling. And it is deeply troubling because recruits to the Socialist training camps under the Obama regime are not disenfranchised youths but fellow adult Americans elected to serve us, not to destroy us.

Consider for example senior Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D). Appearing last weekend on Fox News Sunday (watch the video clip if you can stomach it: sens-conrad-klobuchar-on-fns), hours after Nelson agreed to be the 60th vote backing Harry Reid’s secretly crafted bill, she was asked point blank by show host Chris Wallace about public opinion. Why do all of the Senate Democrats want to hasten passage of a bill opposed (according to Rasmussen Reports polling) by 55% of Americans.

Her response is not only alarming but completely inaccurate. Klobuchar harkens to the decades of debate about Medicare prior to it being signed into law in 1965 by President Lyndon Johnson. She contends only 28% of the American population supported Medicare but soon changed their minds when they realized how great entitlements can be.

Turns out there was far more robust support for Medicare by 1965 — compulsory medical insurance was supported by 63% in a January 1965 Gallup poll (Cato Institute, Medicare’s Origin: The Economics and Politics of Dependency, 1993). It seems Johnson was far more effective at lobbying for a “Great Society” than has been the Obama camp at imposing “Change”. And LBJ did without 24/7 cable TV.

Two-thirds of Americans were OK with the idea of Medicare when it passed; today, RealClearPolitics tracks a set of polls showing 51% opposing a federal takeover of our health insurance system. But, more significantly, only about 39% support the scam. Huge difference. Sen. Klobuchar is delusional, but I guess that’s not exactly a news flash.

As Cato’s Charlotte Twight concluded in a lengthy 1993 report — written during the HillaryCare uprising — Senators in 1965 knew exactly what they were doing and knew the consequences. In this regard, they share an historical bond with today’s elected criminals.

“They … knew that Medicare would create a vast new public dependence on the federal government for financial security in old age, continuing the pattern set by Social Security in 1935,” Twight wrote. “Senator Mundt (R., S.D.) described it as ‘another step toward destroying the independence and self-reliance in America which is the last best hope of individual freedom for all mankind’ (U.S. Cong. Rec.-Senate 9 July 1965: 16122).”

Medicare was an idea whose time seemed to have come in 1965. We have watched it become a mismanaged, unsustainable federally orchestrated fiasco. ObamaCare will make Medicare look like a mere blip on the screen of the history of America and its decline.

The Felon Who Came to Dinner

December 7th, 2009 · No Comments

The hijacking of American freedom and the American economy is not being plotted in the shadows. If you pay attention, you will soon realize that the playbook has been published and is available for public consumption.

The lame-stream media would never have bothered checking into it because they’re rooting for the Obama Socialist agenda, but there are still a few serious journalists out there, doing the heavy lifting.

Andrew Breitbart’s BigGovernment.com looked beyond the reality-TV couple that slipped past the Secret Service to see if any other interesting “characters” attended the recent White House state dinner. He made a Watergate-caliber discovery.

The name to remember is Robert Creamer (no relation to the legendary Sports Illustrated writer). Unknown to a vast majority of Americans, Creamer is Barack Hussein Obama’s Socialism guru, a sort of stealth Rev. Jeremy Wright without a pulpit.

But Creamer does have a published book. And he has a spouse who is an elected member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Illinois, Jan Schakowsky. BigGovernment reports today:

Rep. Schakowsky’s husband, Robert Creamer, used to be the leader of Citizen Action/Illinois. He also founded its predecessor, Illinois Public Action, in which Ms. Schakowsky served as Program Director. He runs a political consulting firm, the Strategic Consulting Group, which lists ACORN and the SEIU among its clients and which made $541,000 working for disgraced former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich.

Creamer and Schakowsky were invited guests at the state dinner. No one seems to care that Creamer, a convicted felon, was welcome to dine in the White House. Creamer did five months as recently as 2006 after he was convicted of financial indiscretions at CA/I.

BigGovernment reveals what Creamer did with his down time in prison, and during 11 subsequent months of house arrest:

While in prison—or “forced sabbatical,” he called it—Creamer wrote a lengthy political manual, Listen to Your Mother: Stand Up Straight! How Progressives Can Win (Seven Locks Press, 2007).

In the book, Creamer draws lessons from decades of experience on the radical left. … He also lays out a “Progressive Agenda for Structural Change,” which includes a ten-point plan for foisting universal health care on the American people in 2009:

  • “We must create a national consensus that health care is a right, not a commodity; and that government must guarantee that right.”
  • “We must create a national consensus that the health care system is in crisis.”
  • “Our messaging program over the next two years should focus heavily on reducing the credibility of the health insurance industry and focusing on the failure of private health insurance.”
  • “We need to convince political leaders that they owe their elections, at least in part, to the groundswell of support of [sic] universal health care, and that they face political peril if they fail to deliver on universal health care in 2009.”
  • “We need not agree in advance on the components of a plan, but we must foster a process that can ultimately yield consensus.”
  • “We must focus especially on the mobilization of the labor movement and the faith (church) community.”
  • “To be successful, we must put in place commitments for hundreds of millions of dollars to be used to finance paid communications and mobilization once the battle is joined.”

Creamer adds: “To win we must not just generate understanding, but emotion—fear, revulsion, anger, disgust.”

We are certainly disgusted. Now we must rise up to combat and defeat the Obama agenda and his allies.
